Workshop Terms and Conditions

Participant Waiver

By taking part in our pottery painting activities, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Pottery glazing and kiln firing naturally involve risks such as cracking, warping, or unexpected colour changes.

  • Final results cannot be guaranteed, and you accept all risks associated with the firing process.

  • You release Bisque with Brontë, its staff, and contractors from any liability for loss, breakage, or damage to your pottery piece once it has been painted by you.

  • You participate in the workshop at your own risk and waive any claims relating to personal injury, property loss, or dissatisfaction with the artistic outcome, to the fullest extent permitted under New Zealand law.

1. Bookings & Payment

  • Bookings are confirmed once payment is received.

  • Prices vary depending on the bisqueware piece selected.

2. Bisqueware Quality

  • All bisqueware is sourced from external suppliers.

  • Natural variations, small imperfections, and slight differences between pieces are normal.

3. Painting Responsibility

  • You are responsible for your own artwork and design choices.

  • We cannot refund or replace pieces due to artistic results or colour expectations.

4. Glazing & Firing

  • We apply clear glaze and outsource firing by one of our firing service providers.

  • Firing may cause colour shifts, pinholes, small flaws, or occasional cracking or breakage.

  • While we take great care with each item, we cannot guarantee the final outcome and are not liable for damage occurring during glazing or firing.

5. Collection & Delivery

  • Finished pieces are usually ready within the stated timeframe, but delays can occur.

  • We will notify you when your item is ready for pick-up or delivery.

  • Items not collected within 3 months may be disposed of at our discretion.

6. Health & Safety

  • Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

  • Please follow staff instructions when using paints, tools, and materials.

  • You are responsible for your personal belongings.

7. Changes & Cancellations

  • We may reschedule workshops if required (e.g., low numbers, staff illness).

  • Cancellations within 48 hours may be non-refundable.
